TWIN magazine, inspiration for inside and out

Founded on the eve of a new decade, TWIN is the brainchild of ex-Lula Creative Director and Shillington College lecturer Becky Smith.

Cloth-bound, hard-backed and divided into chapters TWIN rekindles the traditional handcrafted techniques of publishing, and sits confidently between a book and a magazine.

In this age of instant information and visual over-stimulation, TWIN offers a slow-paced, refined and reflective look at fashion and the arts.

Pure, beautiful and stripped-back fashion photography from Ben Weller, Tom Allen and The Selby is balanced with well-considered reads on contemporary art and culture from writers and contributors such as Carol Ann Duffy, Miranda July and journalist Lauren Cochrane.

Fashion-ation is a fantastic online magazine with some excellent photography of some avant garde fashion shoots and editorial from around the globe. Well worth a look when looking for some inspiration for the magazine brief.

Fashion Photography inspiration

The CALIKARTEL site features hundreds of pages of inspiring fashion photography and shows not only the work of the photographers but the imagination of the stylists and makeup artists. There are often fantastic ideas at play in the liberated expression of fashion editorial and it's well worth checking out if you are suffering from creative block.
