The students in Manchester had the pleasure of an afternoon lecture by Manchester's digital wizard Matt Booth. Matt shared some of his insights and experiences in the digital world, as well as showcasing some of his exciting iPad and iPhone apps! Matt also runs Northern Digitals and BLAB meet ups.
As it's friday I thought it would be a nice way to end the week with some monkeys, everyone loves a good monkey right? Photographer Robin Schwartz series of Primate Portraits explores the idea of owning a monkey as a pet, worth checking out.

If you're in the UK or are able to view content within the UK the BBC iPlayer has the latest episode of the Beauty of Books and aptly it's about the modern paperback design. Specifically they concentrate on the evolution of George Orwells' 1984 and Anthony Burgess' Clockwork Orange. For those of you outside the UK we'll keep you posted as to how you can get your hands on it!
The Cornerhouse in Manchester is running a Spanish Film Festival for the month of March.
The current exhibition at Common Bar in the Northern Quarter is by Matt Saunders, an illustrator and animator based in Leeds, with special guests Kristyna Baczynski, Amy Lord & Rebekah Whitney and Fon/The Pern.
