You should recognise the work of typographer and designer Si Scott, who has become internationally renowned for his distinctive organic typography. His website is currently under construction but the holding site has a wicked gallery of his work to excite and inspire! Keep your ear to the ground as this type supremo may soon be visiting a design college near you...

Window Wonderland - £1000 up for grabs!

Apostrophe, excellent purveyors of delicious cakes, are running a design competition which offers the opportunity to have your design in the window of one of their eleven central London stores. The prize is a £1000 educational bursary, which you could put towards your Shillington fees! 

Aside from the title of Winter Wonderland, you've got free reign, and there is a pretty prestigious panel of judges. For more details check out the competition website. Closing date is November 9th.

Ok, so Grakik Cache is another one of those blogs... you know the ones where somebody collects a load of work from other designers into one place? But this is a particularly good one, collated by one of my fellow Norn Irishers, Dave Smith, from design studio Sort. Design, photography, architecture, books, exhibitions, typography, illustration, animation and products. All things to help inspire.
